Patrick Swayze ft. Wendy Fraser: She's Like the Wind

"She's Like the Wind" was co-written by Swayze and Stacy Widelitz in 1984, originally for the soundtrack of "Grandview, USA," not "Dirty Dancing". However, it wasn't used in the film. The song reached #3 on Billboard Hot 100, #1 on Audult Contemporary, and was a hit around the world. This is a great example of how soundtracks of movies get just as much fame as the movies. The soundtrack was at #1 for nineteen weeks. This shows how influential music was in the 80s and continues to be influential today.
